PDV Services Inc. was started in 1994 by its owner Peter VanderLaan as a means to "get off the road".

Peter had been the Canadian sales representative of an international company supplying specialty refractory materials for producers of non-ferrous metals, foundries, and the ceramics industry. During that time he saw a fit for someone interested in servicing companies where unique materials or unique solutions were required to solve problems in their high temperature processes. PDV Services began to look for problems to solve and not places to sell.

Today we operate with the same premise and have the capacity to service both domestic and international markets. We continue to supply those materials which will solve a customer problem be it in design, performance, or just dependable supply.
